Lake Haft Barm is located in the Doshmanziari district, 55 kilometers southwest of Shiraz and northeast of the Arzhan and Parishan protected area. It has geographical coordinates of 29 degrees and 5 minutes north latitude and an elevation of 1950 meters above sea level.

The lake offers beautiful views of the Mahur Hills and multiple barm formations. Its climate is cold and dry in winter and moderate in summer.
The proximity of this area to Shiraz, along with its diverse landscapes and pleasant climate, attracts many residents from Shiraz, Kazeroon, and Sepidan to visit, despite the lack of facilities and amenities.

The water in the Haft-Barm lakes is supplied by rainfall and surrounding springs. However, it should be noted that due to the activities and encroachments by the local population, as well as the conversion of grazing lands around the water reservoirs, the area has suffered from soil erosion and sedimentation.
The influx of sediments has led to changes in the ecological conditions of these ecosystems and has had an impact on the reduction of water levels in these resources.

However, if feasibility studies are prepared by environmental organizations, natural resources agencies, Khanzaniyan municipality, and the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization of Fars, based on the ecological capacity of the region, and if a tourism season is designated for the first six months of the year and a bird conservation period is established for the next six months, it could potentially transform the area into a world-class tourist destination.
