Day 1: Ahvaz Arrival and Shushtar Exploration
Morning: Arrival in Ahvaz
Arrive in Ahvaz in the morning and explore the city, including a visit to the Karoon River.
Afternoon: Haft-Tappeh and Chogha-Zanbil
Visit the Haft-Tappeh excavation site and the Chogha-Zanbil ziggurat from the Elamite domination era. Head to Shushtar for a visit to watermills and lunch at the traditional Mostofi Museum and Restaurant. Continue the journey to Masjed-Soleyman, the birthplace of the Iranian oil industry, and explore the Nomad Museum before traveling to Fath-Abad village for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Shimbar and Nomad Experience
Morning: Village Exploration
Explore the village, then drive to Negin Bridge and Shimbar Waterfall.
Afternoon: Nomad Interaction
Join a local home for lunch, the last point with electricity. Optionally, visit Dezpart Steps. In the afternoon, join a nomad family in the Zardeh Mountain range.
Days 3-5: Nomadic Expedition in Zagros Mountains
Full Days: Nomadic Migration
Embark on a 3-day nomadic expedition in the Zagros mountain ranges, covering approximately 42 km of hiking. Experience the flexibility of the nomads’ routine and immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery. Capture the moments of the nomadic lifestyle, enjoy quiet nights under the starry sky, and savor the authentic experience.
Day 5: Khouye Village
Say goodbye to the nomads and journey to the green village of Khouye. Enjoy the comfort of a cozy village house, surrounded by vast fruit gardens and charming old houses. Experience a tranquil night in the village.
Day 6: Sar Agha Seyyed Village and Chelgerd
Morning: Village Exploration
Explore Sar Agha Seyyed Village, appreciating the views of old houses and a salt mine.
Afternoon: Chelgerd and Koohrang Spring
Continue the road to Chelgerd, where you’ll stay in a hotel. Visit Koohrang Spring, the largest spring in Iran. Return to the hotel for the night.
Day 7: Isfahan Return
Full Day: Sightseeing and Return
Visit Dimeh Spring and the plain of Koohrang’s reversed tulips for stunning views. Head to Shahr-e Kord and return to Isfahan in the evening.
